I have a Question for Senator Richard J. Gordon
I have a question for Senator Richard J. Gordon of the Philippines who was the former Secretary of Tourism under President Gloria Arroyo as well as an unsuccessful Presidential Candidate against President Aquino.
Mr. Gordon, you are quoted as saying “If you want to improve governance, you can go after the police and the judges who are taking bribes. This is business as usual, going after political enemies.”
Here is my question for you, Mr. Gordon. Can you not improve governance by going after the police and judges who are taking bribes and corrupt politicians, or should you not go after corrupt politicians, and only go after the “police and judges who are taking bribes?”
Please clarify your position as I read your statement that President Aquino should only go after “the police and judges who are taking bribes” and not go after corrupt politicians.
